Behavioral Notes:

• He was an adoption; he exhibited anorexia during the time with his previous owner as well as within the first two years I had him. He went onto mealworms and dubia roaches when I first got him but went off it shortly after. Then he was syringe fed repashy grub pie and other foods to support appetite for several months to a year. I got him back on dubia roaches through bowl feeding which he is successfully eating on currently.
• He dislikes being disturbed or taken from his enclosure, often wagging his tail and hissing or lunging, but tolerates it enough for the occasional weigh in. He was handled quite often when he was syringe-fed and got accustomed to the routine during it. So, I wouldn’t saying handling him is impossible but I keep it to a minimum to avoid stressing him.
• In the last several months there has been a significant increase in his confidence. Now, he sometimes peeks out from his hide while I’m doing husbandry tasks in his enclosure similar to how Sinai or Jordan would, which is a huge step for him. I believe part of this is due to him feeling more secure in his 24x18x18 enclosure compared to the 36x18x18 he was in
• It’s rare to ever see him fully out of his hide since he only comes out when it is sufficiently dark and quiet, he can hear me before I can get close enough to catch him off gaurd usually. On the lucky instance that you do see him though, he is probably roaming or hanging out on a branch or hide. He may run and hide if he notices you saw him.
